An unstable biohacker succeeds in controlling the free will of a rat by implanting a chip in its brain using computer prompts. But when his partner ruthlessly seeks to capitalize on their research findings, the betrayed and disillusioned protagonist crosses moral boundaries and tests the chip on his colleague—hoping this will ultimately allow him to free himself from his own depression.

The 5th Age

The 5th Age is based on the original idea by Ingo Monitor and Jan Mocka. Developed in cooperation with screenwriters Lucas Flasch and Johannes Rothe, the series tells the story of maverick girl Loni, who is determined to save her beloved protégé after everything is taken from her. Embarking on a perilous odyssey, she stands up against the terrors of post-collapse Europe, realizing she has to mend the wounds of her past if she is to shape a hopeful future.

The promotional teaser features Jana Pallaske, Wilfried Hochholdinger, Milton Welsh, Carolin von der Groben, Jeffrey Mittleman, Ingrid Mülleder, Julius Nitschkoff, Chris Karven-Veres, Davide Brizzi, Frederik Schmid, Lars Mocka, Kirishan Selvarajah, Carl Vogt, Frederik Funke, Selam Tadese, Periklis Moissidis, Pascal Roelofse and Anna Zschommler.

The production was supported by post perfect vision & sound and Camelot Broadcast Services.

The 5th Age was featured as one of the eight selected projects of the international pitch at the C21 London Drama Summit 2017.

Tehran, Iran While young Farzane is working day and night for a modern taxi Start-Up, the older taxi driver Mr. Safari is driving for decades through the densely driven city. He has nothing left to lose or to win and does not see any career prospects for him. On the other hand Farzane wants to overcome the chaotic traffic of Tehran developing the app and to be part of a positive Changing in Iran. In Tehran taxis are the most important and daily form of transportation. The Film portrays two Generations, who are working in different forms in "Taxi City" to make their living.



Background: The project titled “Talking Youth” has been coordinated by Sureh University in Tehran and the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf in Germany.

Its aim was to produce eight short documentary films directed by eight Iranian and German students of filmmaking in a joint project.
